Verification Standards

Every physician is checked. Not just listed.

Anyone can build a directory. We built a verification process. Here’s exactly what we check, how we check it, and what we do when something fails.

4-step

Verification process

72hr

Max review time

100%

License-checked listings

Our verification promise

  • State license confirmed

We check with each state medical board directly — not just the physician's word.

  • Reviews from real patients

Every review is tied to a verified appointment. No anonymous submissions, no incentivized reviews.

  • Re-verified every 12 months

Licenses expire. Practices change. We re-check every listing annually

  • Removed if standards slip

Any physician who fails re-verification or receives substantiated complaints is removed immediately.

The verification process

Four steps, every single physician

No shortcuts. No self-reported data without confirmation. Here’s what happens
before a physician appears in our directory.

1

Step 01 — License check

We verify the license with the state board

We pull each physician’s license status directly from their state medical board database — not from the physician’s application. We confirm that the license is active, in good standing, and covers the state where they’re treating patients.

2

Step 02 — Credential review

We confirm training and TRT-relevant experience

A valid license alone doesn’t mean a physician is qualified to manage testosterone therapy. We review board certifications, specialty training, and whether TRT is a meaningful part of their practice — not a side offering.

3

Step 03 — Review audit

Patient reviews are verified, not just collected

Our rating system only accepts reviews from patients who can confirm a real appointment. Reviews are screened for patterns that suggest incentivized, fake, or retaliatory submissions — and filtered before they affect a physician’s score.

4

Step 04 — Ongoing monitoring

Verification isn't a one-time event

Licenses expire. Physicians move. Practices change. We re-verify every listing on a 12-month cycle, and any substantiated patient complaint triggers an immediate review — not a queued one.

Common questions

What people ask about our verification

Can’t find your answer? Ask our team directly.

Does a physician pay to be listed?

Physicians pay for a listing in our directory. Paying for a listing does not influence their verification status or rating score — those are determined entirely by our independent review process. A physician who doesn’t pass verification cannot be listed, regardless of payment.

How long does verification take?

Initial verification typically takes 3–5 business days. License checks are often completed within 24 hours; credential and review audits take the remaining time. Physicians are not shown in search results until all four steps are complete.

What happens if a physician fails verification?

Their profile is not published, and they’re notified of the specific issue. If the issue is correctable (e.g., a license that’s in the process of renewal), we’ll re-check once they confirm it’s resolved. If it’s a disciplinary matter, the application is permanently declined.

Can a physician remove a bad review?

No. Physicians can flag a review for investigation if they believe it violates our policies, but they cannot remove it directly. Our team reviews flags within 72 hours. If the review is found to be fraudulent or in violation of our guidelines, we remove it. Otherwise it stays.

How do I report a concern about a listed physician?

Every physician profile has a “Report a concern” link. Substantiated complaints trigger an immediate profile audit — not a queued one. If we can’t confirm the physician meets our standards during that audit, they’re removed until the matter is resolved.

Does verification mean a physician is the right fit for me?

Verification means the physician is licensed, credentialed, and reviewed by real patients. It doesn’t mean they’re the right clinical fit for your specific situation. Use the reviews, condition tags, and Q&A section to assess fit — and always have a full consultation before starting any treatment.
